Fumiya Takahashi and Min Tanaka are cast in WOWOW drama series “Kokkai.” The drama series will consist of 4 episodes and is based on 2020 novel “Kiroi Jou” by Gaku Yakumaru (“Villain: Perpetrator Chase Investigation“). The drama series also marks the first time either actor will star in a WOWOW original drama series.
“Kokkai” will first air December, 2026 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Shota Magaki (Fumiya Takahashi) is a university student who receives a message from his girlfriend: “I want to see you in person, come right now.” Though intoxicated, he drives to her, but on the way he strikes an older woman and flees. After being arrested, he serves over four years in prison and is released at age 25. He faces a harsh reality of continuing life with the crushing weight of a sin that does not vanish simply because his sentence has ended.
Meanwhile, Fumihisa Noriwa (Min Tanaka), whose wife died in Shota Magaki’s hit-and-run, secretly hires a private investigator to track Shota Magaki’s location. Concealing his identity, Fumihisa Noriwa moves into the apartment where Shota Magaki resides.
