MANILA, Philippines — Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Zo In-sung, and Go Youn-jung are all coming back as Won Gyu-bin replaces Lee Jung-ha for the role of Kim Bong-seok in the second season of the hit Disney+ show “Moving.”
Streaming platform Disney+ announced production has begun for the show with most of its main cast returning.
The show follows a group of South Korean special agents trying to protect their super-powered children from malicious government agencies.
These agents posses extraordinary abilities of their own but were tasked with carrying out increasingly dubious missions.
With their children exhibiting powers and a dangerous assassin running after them, the agents were forced to leave their peaceful lives behind to become the “monsters” they once were.
The second season will pick up in the days immediately after the Jeongwon High School Incident as the heroes settle back into their everyday lives. But just as things seem to be returning to normal, new and familiar threats will emerge to endanger their loved ones.
Show creator and screenwriter Kang Full, who penned the webtoon the show is based on, will also get reinforcement behind the camera with “Kingdom” director Kim Seong-hun joining the project.

“With the first season, my goal was to establish a new benchmark for Korean superhero narratives,” Kang said in a statement ahead of production. “For the second, I intend to raise that bar even higher, evolving the series into something truly exceptional.”
A teaser video released by Disney+ showed behind-the-scenes footage of the first table read as well as a greeting from cast members.
The Walt Disney Company’s executive vice president of APAC Original Content Strategy Carol Choi in a statement praised the series for demonstrating that “premium Korean storytelling, rooted in emotion and delivered with cinematic ambition, can resonate with audiences around the world in a truly powerful way.”
“As we look ahead to Season 2, we’re excited to build on that success with our creative partners and further expand the world of ‘Moving’ for fans across the globe,” Choi said.
“Moving” remains to be the most viewed Korean original series on Disney+ and Hulu, winning the Daesang for Television at the 2024 Baeksang Arts Awards.
Kang won Best Screenplay, while Jung-ha won Best New Actor. “Moving” also received a nomination for Best Foreign Language Series at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
