NJ Spotlight News introduces its voter guide to the June 2 congressional primary election. One Senate seat and all 12 House of Representatives seats are open.
Voters with a party affiliation will choose candidates who will face off in the November general election. Mail-in voting has been underway for weeks and early in-person voting will begin on May 26.
In collaboration with the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University, NJ Spotlight News sent a questionnaire to every candidate seeking the Democratic or Republican nomination for federal office. They were asked about their backgrounds and positions on a number of issues: the economy and high costs; health care; the war with Iran and defense spending; the immigration crackdown; and voting and elections.
The guide includes a page for each race with candidates’ questionnaire answers. For those who did not respond, the guide lists campaign websites, candidates’ statements and other available detail. Each congressional district page includes its municipalities and voter registration data by party.
The NJ Decides 2026 page features NJ Spotlight News’ election reporting; a district finder; key dates; and information about early in-person voting, polling sites and mail-in ballot drop boxes.
