MANILA, Philippines — Former celebrity couple Katrina Halili and Kris Lawrence made it clear they have not rekindled their relationship amid online rumors they’ve done so.
The two artists were guests on the April 24, 2026 episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where the host brought up Katrina’s post earlier this month of her, Kris and their daughter Katie in Palawan where the actress mentioned in her caption “this is where everything resets.”
Katrina explained that it was her friendship with Kris that was resetting, noting the vacation was the first time the two had bonded in a while.
Boy then straight up asked what many have been wondering: Are the two back together? Katrina and Kris both exchanged looks, prompting Boy to quip that there may be something between them.
Katrina jokingly said they were back together before Kris pointed out plainly that they have not.
“I’m really, really, really grateful for this time that we have together because honestly, when we became okay this year, Katie has been probably the best I’ve ever seen her,” Kris added, noting that his daughter’s smile is more genuine, she has a pep in her step and is overall happier.
The singer acknowledged that they “don’t know where the road leads,” but the most important thing is that it’s for their daughter and they were enjoying.
Katrina also brought up a moment during the vacation when Katie showed them AI-generated photos of Kris kissing Katrina on the forehead and asked them to reenact it because it was funny.
Upon Boy asking, both Katrina and Kris confirmed they were currently single. “Sa ngayon nage-enjoy lang kami sa company ng bawat isa, and tinutulungan niya kami ni Katie,” Katrina added later on.
After the titular “Fast Talk” segment, the former couple talked about their lives revolving around Katie, who is on the spectrum.
Katrina and Kris, both alums of different talent reality competitions, dated for five years before breaking up in 2014.
