A boater found the paddleboard belonging to a man who was last seen on the vessel about four miles off Jupiter on Monday, but he remains missing, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
The lime green and yellow paddleboard was located about 10 miles off Jupiter and turned over to police, the Coast Guard said in a statement Wednesday.
The Coast Guard and other agencies, including the Jupiter Police Department, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, continued their search for 48-year-old Matt Pawlowski on Wednesday. When he was last seen paddling in the ocean, he was wearing gray shorts, an orange shirt and a white hat, the Coast Guard said.
Coast Guard crews from Air Station Miami, Air Station Clearwater, Station Lake Worth Inlet, Station Fort Pierce and the Cutter William Flores are searching for him.
The Coast Guard asks anyone with information about Pawlowski to call the Miami command center at 305-535-4372.
