More than 200 band members gathered Sunday at First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg to celebrate the life and legacy of William “Bill” Fredrick Findeison.
Findeison founded the Awesome Original Second Time Arounders Marching Band in 1983 in St. Petersburg. Membership has grown into the hundreds, featuring members who range in age from 18 to 80.
Findeison’s spirit endures in the music he shared, the community he helped build and the many lives he touched.
Findeison often said, “It’s not about me, it’s about the connections people make through music.”
