Alex Skwarek went 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple and three RBI to lead 10th-seeded Brearley to an 8-1 victory over seventh-seeded Oratory in the first round of the Union County Tournament in Kenilworth.
Jonny Breunig earned the win on the mound for Brearley, striking out eight batters over 6 1.3 innings while allowing three hits, one run and two walks. Mike Wewna closed out the game recording two strikeouts.
