The brazen move that landed a N.J. man in custody: Altering a nursing home’s $30K check

A New Jersey man who altered an approximately $30,000 check written by a nursing and rehabilitation facility in Massachusetts and later tried to deposit it was arrested last week, officials said.

Lamin Conteh, 27, of Asbury Park, was arrested in Manalapan on July 1, Milford, Massachusetts police said in a statement.
