The New York Knicks are one win away from their first NBA championship since 1973, heading into Game 5 against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night — here’s how to watch.
The Knicks trailed by as many as 29 points in their historic, 107-106 comeback over the Spurs on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
OG Anunoby’s game-winning tip-in with 1.2 seconds left sent the crowd at MSG into a frenzy as the Knicks took a 3-1 series lead over the Spurs.

The last time the Knicks advanced to the NBA finals was in 1999 — also against the Spurs. San Antonio’s last trip to the NBA finals was in 2014.
If a Game 6 is necessary, it will coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup and could potentially create a level of travel at Penn Station unlike anything seen before. Though fans hope the Knicks will wrap it before then. On June 16, France takes on Senegal at MetLife Stadium at 3 p.m. ET. While the games are not at the same time, commuters cannot park at MetLife Stadium and must take public transportation to World Cup games. This is anticipated to overwhelm transit if both games were to take place on that day.
