Wrong-way driver who fled crash and attacked police dog is now facing more charges, cops say

A 30-year-old man who authorities say drove his pickup truck the wrong way before crashing into another vehicle in Toms River last month is facing more charges, authorities said.

Andrew N. Gajewski has been charged with two additional counts of assault by auto/causing serious bodily injury while driving impaired, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday. Three others — including Gajewski’s passenger — were injured in the May crash.
