MANILA, Philippines — Ruru Madrid expressed full support for his younger sister and fellow actor Rere following her marriage to basketball star Kai Sotto.
Rere and Kai surprised everyone with photos that their garden wedding had taken place last month in Alfonso, Cavite, two years since publicizing their relationship.
Ruru was among those in attendance, belatedly posting his congratulatory post for the newly-weds.
“You may have a 7’3′ husband now, but you’ll always be my baby sister. And I’ll always be your kuya,” the actor said. “Congratulations to both of you, Bayaw and Bunso!”
Both Rere and Kai thanked Ruru in the comments section, the latter returning the favor by also calling Ruru “bayaw” or brother-in-law.
Apart from photos with Rere and Kai at the wedding were of Ruru with his girlfriend of six years, Bianca Umali, who co-starred with Rere in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.”
