Pietro Amodio went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, four RBIs and a run to spark eighth-seeded Toms River North to a 9-4 win over ninth-seeded Barnegat in the first round of the Ocean County Tournament in Toms River.

The Mariners (6-6) snapped a three-game losing streak and advanced to the quarterfinals against top-seeded Toms River East.
