First things first: The Specter Elite is Topo Athletic’s first model featuring a state-of-the-art carbon fiber plate, enabling faster running with less energy expenditure. Paired with the Specter Elite’s aggressive rocker geometry, this shoe delivers propulsive speed. A brand-new midsole foam is the next ingredient in the secret sauce: Ultralight ATPU RevFoam delivers high energy return without extra weight. An additional ATPU insole boosts rebound underfoot even more.

The rest of the Specter Elite is equally dialed in. The engineered mesh upper provides a stable and secure fit, while lightweight fabric offers excellent ventilation for hot days and long miles. A racer tongue shaves weight as well, further enhancing speed.

And as for the nitty-gritty: The Specter Elite has a 5 mm drop and a 39×34 mm stack height. It weighs just 7.1 ounces in a men’s size 9 and 5.6 ounces in a women’s size 7. And with all of these features, you’ll still recognize the Topo Athletic signature fit, bringing speed and comfort together on race day.
