Main cast revealed for new Netflix medical drama series “First Doctor.” Cast for lead roles in the drama series are Jung Ryeo-Won, Ha Yoon-Kyung, Baek Hyun-Jin, Kim Jong-Soo, and Kim Moo-Yul. Drama series will be scripted by Kim Min-Seok and directed by Hong Jong-Chan. The director, screenwriter, and actor Kim Moo-Yul previously worked together in 2022 Netflix drama series “Juvenile Justice,” while the director and Kim Moo-Yul more recently worked together in this years Netflix drama series “Teach You a Lesson.” “First Doctor” will be set in the pediatric surgery department at a major hospital.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Heo Ji-Wan (Jung Ryeo-Won) is a pediatric surgeon, acknowledged for her skills and strong sense of duty. Due to her straightforward and blunt personality, she is labelled as the hospital’s troublemaker. An incident leads to her forced return to Yeonhwa University Hospital. There, she struggles to protect the pediatric surgery department and its young patients as the department is on the verge of closure. She must work with the various people at Yeonhwa University Hospital, including third-year resident Ki Eun-Kyeol (Ha Yoon-Kyung), Head of Surgery Son Sang-Baek (Baek Hyun-Jin), Vice Director Lee Chang-Gon (Kim Jong-Soo) and Bae Su-Wol (Kim Moo-Yul). Bae Su-Wol is a charming anesthesiology professor and has known Heo Ji-Wan for a long time.
