Ted Baker is tomorrow, 2 October, marking its return to standalone retail with a new concept store, under the name of Ted Baker Tailored, at 155 Fenchurch Street in East London.

The retailer’s revival, driven by New York-based owner Authentic Brands Group which acquired it in October 2022, comes more than two years after the last Ted Baker stores shuttered following it going into administration.
At the time, the brand’s UK and European operations were being managed by Dutch retail group AARC, which had been appointed by Authentic, which also owns Reebok, Juicy Couture and Forever 21, as well as DRJB Holdings, the company for David Beckham’s brand business activities.
AARC ran into financial difficulty shortly after taking over operations, leading Authentic to step in with financial support. However, the partnership was terminated in February 2024.

The business entity behind Ted Baker in the UK, No Ordinary Designer Label (NODL), subsequently entered administration and began the process of closing all 46 UK stores. The final locations shut in August 2024.
The new standalone store comes after Ted Baker opened a womenswear shop-in-shop in Manchester’s Selfridges in May 2026.

Ted Baker Tailored, opening in the heart of London’s financial district, represents an evolution of the brand’s UK retail presence, building on the menswear heritage on which it was founded.

The store brings Ted Baker to life through an immersive retail environment “where product, design and storytelling come together”.
Rooted in the traditions of British tailoring and reimagined for today, the new menswear collection includes “impeccably cut suiting” and elevated everyday essentials.
Henry Stupp, President, Lifestyle EMEAI at Authentic, said: “This opening is an important milestone for Ted Baker in its home market and a reaffirmation of the brand’s British heritage and the enduring relevance of the category where it all began.
“We’re building on the qualities that have long distinguished Ted Baker, its approach to tailoring, craftsmanship and distinctly British point of view, while evolving the brand for today’s consumer. London is the natural place to begin, and we see this opening as a defining step in the brand’s next chapter.”
Tim Murphy, CEO of Suit Direct, a long-standing Ted Baker license partner which creates and distributes formalwear for the brand, added: “Having designed and produced Ted Baker suiting for many years, Suit Direct has a deep understanding of the brand and its distinctive approach to British tailoring.
“Ted Baker Tailored represents an exciting new chapter in that partnership – bringing together our expertise in craftsmanship, attention to detail and contemporary style in a dedicated retail space. We’re proud to bring this new experience to London and look forward to welcoming customers.”
The opening of Ted Baker Tailored marks the next phase of the brand’s UK retail strategy, building on its existing presence as Ted Baker continues to strengthen its physical footprint in its home market.
